is the museum and workshop of the 'Bahamas' Locomotive Society and tells a story of the steam locomotive, and the people involved in its manufacture, operation, and maintenance.

The exhibition has been created for you to explore how the steam locomotive functions, who 'made it go', and how it was built - from the drawing board to the workshop.

Our opening hours are normally 11.00am to 4.30pm - Saturday and Sunday.

We also aim to be open each day the KWVR are operating their train service - this is usually each weekend and midweek during school holidays. 

We are closed at Christmas.

The Museum is wheelchair friendly with easy access to the ground floor.  A lift provides easy access to the upper gallery displays.

Toilet facilites are suitable for the disabled. 

Nappy changing facilities are also available.
